CryptoFights joined a readable turn-based game, a production stack spanning multiple services, and a Web3 economy in which fighters and gear extended beyond a single match.

The contribution connected combat rules, interface feedback and real-time communication so every turn remained understandable while the match state moved through external services.

An RPG where the match does not end in the arena

CryptoFights combines turn-based fantasy combat with the strategic depth of tabletop RPGs. Fighters, skills, equipment and rewards form a progression that continues between matches and connects to a digital ownership layer.

The public product presents the FYX Gateway as the place to discover, buy, trade and sell items. That is the Web3 scale of the project: blockchain and NFTs are not a separate showcase, but part of inventory and the player journey.

More than three years inside production

This was the most extensive project in the portfolio: from September 2019 through December 2022, inside a team with four Unity developers, two backend professionals and other production disciplines. The contribution crossed gameplay, matchmaking, inventories, UI, blockchain integration and WebSocket communication.

Rather than one isolated feature, the challenge was sustaining a living system. Changes in combat touched feedback and match state; inventory changes reached services and economy; every release had to keep those layers understandable and diagnosable.

Engineering for a connected product

Internal content and diagnostic tools reduced the distance between implementation and investigation. In a distributed architecture, that was essential for quickly distinguishing a rules, interface, communication or external-service problem.

The case combines records from multiple phases to reveal that breadth: world, fighter creation, combat, integration, optimization and release support on Android and Windows. The result presents gameplay and Web3 as parts of the same product—not parallel stories.
